• Garbage truck driver sentenced after seriously injuring teenager (shorenewsnetwork.com) — A former Buffalo Department of Public Works garbage truck driver received three years of probation after backing into a 17-year-old on a city street, leaving him paralyzed and requiring a leg amputation. The teen’s family is suing the City of Buffalo, alleging poor training and equipment, while prosecutors say the plea deal and sentence were approved by the victim.
