Here are the top three stories today in Buffalo:
- Looking for a way to cool off in the summer heat? Pints in the Park is coming back. The Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz announced the return yesterday on his social media accounts. Events are scheduled from June to October, and you can see the full list at the link. (WGRZ.com)
- Since the May 14 shooting, there has been a mass influx of assistance coming to Buffalo's east side. According to a representative with Black-owned non-profits in Buffalo, the needs of the city go far beyond what outside attention can solve today. Representatives from the non-profits said that economic development and the reversal of decades of redlining are some of the policies that could benefit Buffalo's east side. (The Business Journals)
- A research team at the University at Buffalo is working to revolutionize modern manufacturing. The research focuses on integrating AI and big data into manufacturing to help make it more efficient and high-quality. The work is funded by a $2.3 million grant from the National Science Foundation. (Press Release Desk)
