EGG HARBOR, NJ - South Jersey authorities arrested another individual for child luring this week with the help of a YouTube duo that films “To Catch A Predator”-style videos.

Raymond Effinger Jr., 53 years old, of Hammonton, was charged with luring, a second-degree crime that carries a penalty of five to ten years in prison and up to a $150,000 fine.

At around 8 p.m. on Sunday, the Egg Harbor Township Police Department received a report of an adult male attempting to meet up with a 15-year-old at a local hotel to engage in sexual activity. But instead of a juvenile, the man was actually communicating with the YouTube duo, who pose as juveniles on the internet for the purpose of catching predators.

“Once the male arrived at the hotel the duo recorded the interaction and confronted the male who ultimately fled in a vehicle,” Egg Harbor police said.

Efforts to have Effinger turn himself in were unsuccessful, police said. With the help of Hammonton police, Effinger was located and arrested on Wednesday evening.
