Bushwick Gym Worker Doused With Bleach: Police

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — A man threw bleach on a gym worker's face in Bushwick last month, police said Thursday.

An unidentified assailant doused a 20-year-old worker's face with bleach at the front desk of the 777 Broadway Planet Fitness on Sept. 21, said police. Surveillance video of the assault shows a man wearing a white t-shirt, black pants and red hat walk into the gym, reputedly throw bleach from a black plastic bag onto the victim, before throwing the bottle of bleach and plastic bag to the side.

The attacker dashed out of the gym in an unknown direction, according to police. The victim was treated for burning and face irritation at New York Health & Hospitals/Woodhull, cops said.

Police are investigating the incident and no arrests have been made. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact police.
