Top 5 Recommended Food Places Bushwick Has to Offer
When the food is good but the prices are better, you can't beat that. Let me take you around!
As someone who is born and raised in this neighborhood, I have seen it change and people from all over come and visit. I'd love to share some great local restaurants to try while you are here in town or just trying to find new spots to eat.
Local, affordable, and has a vibe. It is family owned, they have games, you can eat outside and the food is amazing.

High recommendations are their beyond burger, and their turkey burger - if you like pepper jack cheese even better.
Also, their fried chicken sandwich is amazing, tender on the inside, and crunchy on the outside. I would definitely recommend adding avocado to this one. It just puts all the flavors together.

For dessert, their tiramisu is fantastic. But I must warn you, don't eat it too late if you know you have to wake up early.
2. Klorn Klorm
Another local Thai restaurant that definitely makes a great pad Thai, PHAD PRIEW WAN, and some awesome curry dishes (try all of them). Definitely a good night spot. They set the mood with candles and delicious appetizers. Make sure you try their signature dishes.
3. Zatar
Amazing Mediterranean food. My favorites are the:
Dijaj Sandwich
Chopped chicken, sauteed peppers and onions, greens, tomato and tzatziki in pita.
The best part of the sandwich is how flavourful and juicy the chicken is, seasoning of the onions and peppers along with the rest of the pita just everything all together.
Zatar Mix
2 lamb chops, 3 chicken kabobs, and 3 Yemeni kabobs with tzatziki and zahawiq.
What better way of getting 3 different types of various spreads all at the same time? You get to eat this with the luxury and mixing and matching other spreads and trying out different flavors.
Falafel Sandwich
Vegan. Deep-fried chickpea croquettes, hummus, greens, tomato and tahini in pita.
I ain't gotta say much for this one, the fact that they aren't shy to put so many rich ingredients in this sandwich and you're getting all your protein is just a BANGER!
They are also available for BRUNCH and they have indoor and outdoor seating. They also have two locations, one in Bushwick and the other in Park Slope.
I typically go for dinner during the week and it's a great place just to regroup and listen to your audiobook during dinner.
Awesome place to try different types of Venezuelan arepas. Their meat has so much flavor and their drink are fresh. They make their drinks from scratch. I kid you not, that green sauce does it for me each and every time. You could taste the cilantro and lime and once you put in on the food, all those flavors just melt in your mouth.
Don't be afraid of flavor ya'll, its NYC, and ya'll come to eat & have a good time.

Keeping it a buck with you, I only ordered from them through Uber Eats but it's still banging.
TOP 3 Recommendations & it tastes as good as it looks in the picture:
1. CAVATELLI VODKA
Prosciutto sauteed with cream vodka and tomato sauce.
With this dish, I gotta say the mixture of the cream sauce with the fresh prosciutto is amazing! The stye of pasta they use is the person for the dish. Its so much fun taking my fork and being able to grab all the flavors at once. Because I am also greedy, I love to get this with mozzarella added to it. It just gives the dish a perfect finishing touch.

2. BLACK SQUID SEAFOOD RAVIOLI
Scallops, lobster and shrimp with fresh tomatoes and cream parsley sauce.
You can taste the lobster and shrimp in every bite. In the cream sauce, you can taste the tomatoes, basil, and parmesan added to the dish. It's amazing. It also comes with Italian bread to accompany your fulfillment in dipping it in the sauce. The goal here is to make sure not one drop is left. After having this dish a few times, I would say its addictive.

3. EGGPLANT PARMIGIANA
Baked eggplant layered with mozzarella and tomato sauce.
They bread the eggplant, make the sauce, and later the cheese, you can taste the basil, tomato, garlic, and herbs with every bite you take. They serve this in a big portion, enough that you can take it to lunch with you the next day.
