VIDEO: Police Rescue Disgruntled Duck On Bushwick Subway Tracks

BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN — A disgruntled duck ruffled some feathers on the L train Friday morning in Brooklyn after he waddled onto the subway tracks and didn't seem to show any signs of moving. Video shows two cops hopping onto the tracks of the Jefferson Street L train stop in Bushwick to grab the duck and rescue him from the bowels of New York City's public transit system.

Officers Frantz Chauvet and Anastasiya Mishchenko found the duck lying in a pool of muddy subway water along the northbound tracks at around 9:20 a.m., the NYPD said. They called for the help of Emergency Services Officers Kevin Conway and Michael Black, and together, the four officers freed the duck.

"We got a duck on the tracks, duck on the tracks. Gotta save the life," the officer filming the video says.

Police then brought the tiny fellow in a box to the outdoors and released him into the fresh air in Highland Park, Queens.

Once the duck waddles to safety, the officer says, "Later, presh."
