• Cato officials tried to have supervisor-elect arrested before election (fingerlakes1.com) — Cato residents are learning more about how town leaders previously sought charges over a 2023 gravel dispute involving the truck of current supervisor‑elect Jody Snyder, a case prosecutors declined to pursue. Surveillance footage showed another man taking town gravel with Snyder’s vehicle, restitution was later paid, and Snyder went on to win a surprise write‑in victory over longtime Supervisor Charles Ray.
