- Riverhead police said two men were arrested on "grand larceny charges after they stole items from the Route 58 Home Depot." One of the men was from Riverhead, the other was a Moriches man, police said. (RiverheadLOCAL)
- The NY state Cannabis Control Board granted conditional cultivator licenses to two more East End farms; Oregon Road Organics in Cutchogue and WJF Farms in Peconic and Bridgehampton Loam LLC. In total, seven Long Island farms have been granted conditional licenses. (Dan's Papers)
- U.S. health officials caution against making parallels between monkeypox and COVID-19. "The current risk to the public is low," said New York Health Commissioner Dr. Mary T. Bassett. (Patch)
