Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate two people, a man and woman, who stole from Handy Pantry, located at 321 Neighborhood Road, in Mastic Beach at 8:38 p.m. on April 27. The police have released a photo of the suspects. Anyone with information about these incidents can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS.   2. We are approaching the 10th anniversary of Superstorm Sandy; you may recall no electric, no heat and lots of water and sand for the folks on the shores of Long Island. Is PSEG Long Island ready for summer 2022? PSEG Long Island has announced that it is prepared for hurricane season and to meet peak demand during extreme heat situations this summer. (PR Newswire)
  3. The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center in Hampton Bays has been trying to stop hunters from culling deer on that parcel of land for nearly 20 years. The killing of a deer three feet from the center, in January, sparked new legislation after safety concerns were raised. Lawmakers passed a bill that will ban hunting on that parcel in the future, now it is up to the governor to sign the bill. (Patch)
