1. "Moral obligation." Thomas Brinkley, a Stony Brook University sophomore, held a one-day supply drive at the school, intending to fly to Romania Thursday to distribute food, clothing and other items he collected to Ukrainian refugees. (News 12 Bronx)
2. Get your race on with a pop-up flight from LI MacArthur's Airport to the Kentucky Derby! The outgoing flight will leave May 5 and the return trip takes place on Sunday, May 8. The 148th annual Kentucky Derby will take place at Churchill Downs on Saturday, May 7. (Patch)
3. Christian Guardino, the legally blind singer from Patchogue, is heading to Hollywood after his "American Idol" season 20 audition ended with a standing ovation from the show's judges and a hug from Lionel Richie. Katy Perry added that Guardino had "a voice of gold." (Patch)
4. To celebrate Women's History Month Long Island Museum is exhibiting "Two Centuries of Long Island Women Artists, 1800-2000." The artwork is not just created with a brush and canvas, there is a quilt made by 30 different women and given as a gift to Rev. William H. Simonson of Port Jefferson in 1859. The new exhibit is on view at the Long Island Museum in Stony Brook through Sept. 4. (Subscription: Newsday)
