Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck In Suffolk Early Saturday: Police

Police have not yet identified the man who died.

EAST FARMINGDALE, NY — A pedestrian died after being struck in East Farmingdale Saturday morning, police said.

According to Suffolk County police, the crash took place in the southbound lane of Route 110, south of Price Parkway, at 5:04 a.m.

A man was crossing Route 110, south of Price Parkway, in the southbound lanes, when he was struck by a 2015 Acura, police said.

The man, who has not been identified by police, was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver of the Acura, 54, was not injured, police said.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check; anyone with information on the crash is asked call First Squad detectives at 631-854-8152.
