75-Year-Old Killed In Saw Mill River Parkway Motorcycle Crash
The Elmsford man riding a Harley Davidson was the only person involved in the fatal wreck, according to Westchester County Police.

CHAPPAQUA, NY — A 75-year-old Elmsford man was killed in a crash in Chappaqua after apparently losing control of his motorcycle.
Westchester County Police said today that John Murphy died in the wreck on Tuesday, shortly after 7:30 p.m. Officers were called to the scene of the motorcycle crash on the southbound Saw Mill River Parkway just south of Roaring Brook Road. Murphy was found on the shoulder of the road next to his 2016 Harley Davidson.
Westchester EMS responded and a paramedic pronounced him dead at the scene. No other vehicles appear to have been involved in the accident, according to police.

The southbound lanes of the Saw Mill River Parkway remained closed for more than an hour while investigators examined the scene of the crash. The cause of the wreck remains under investigation by the County Police Accident Investigation Team.
