2 of The Top 10 'America's Youngest Wealthiest Suburbs' Are In Westchester, According To New Study
Using data from Census Reporter, personal finance site GOBankingRates ranked the 10 youngest and richest suburbs for 2025.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — Two of the youngest and wealthiest U.S. suburbs are right here in Westchester, according to a new report.
The personal finance site GOBankingRates noted that there has been a "colossal shift in wealth distribution by age" over the last four years. According to CNBC, the number of wealthy, young Americans has grown by 50 percent.
According to the website, young tech industry professionals have built huge fortunes faster than it took previous generations to do so. Examples given were Meta's Mark Zuckerberg, Tik Tok's Zhang Yiming, and Airbnb's Brian Chesky.

At the same time, due to an increasingly hybrid and remote workforce, the authors say that "many millennials have moved out of crowded apartments to suburban towns in search of more square footage and a backyard as they begin to grow families."
Using data on median ages, household incomes, and the values of owner-occupied housing units from the Census Reporter, the study's authors ranked the 10 youngest and wealthiest suburbs for 2025.

Their research found some surprising, and not so surprising conclusions.
Westchester County has two suburbs on the list, while Nassau County also has two, and New Jersey has one. Texas and California each have two locations on the list, while Illinois has one.
Here are the suburbs that made the list, along with median age, median household income, and median value of owner-occupied housing units.
The youngest and wealthiest U.S. suburbs are:
- Ladera Ranch, CA: median age of 35.3; median household income of $184,257; median value of owner-occupied housing units: $1,046,600
- Southside Place, TX: median age of 40.2; median household income of $193,021; median value of owner-occupied housing units: $1,702,600
- Munsey Park, NY: median age of 40.5; median household income of $250,001; median value of owner-occupied housing units: $1,955,200
- Short Hills, NJ: median age of 40.9; median household income of $250,001; median value of owner-occupied housing units: $1,621,200
- Scarsdale, NY: median age of 41.4; median household income of $250,001; median value of owner-occupied housing units: $1,703,800
- West University Place, TX: median age of 42.2; median household income of $250,001; median value of owner-occupied housing units: $1,406,600
- Camino Tassajara, CA: median age of 42.2; median household income of $250,001; median value of owner-occupied housing units: $2,000,001
- Winnetka, IL: median age of 42.4; median household income of $250,001; median value of owner-occupied housing units: $1,206,300
- Laurel Hollow, NY: median age of 43.1; median household income of $250,001; median value of owner-occupied housing units: $1,524,700
- Chappaqua, NY: median age of 45; median household income of $220,139; median value of owner-occupied housing units: $740,300
