Parents with children in the Byram Hills School District can mark the first day of school coming later this summer.

ARMONK, NY — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Armonk, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Byram Hills School District.

The first day of school for most students in the Byram Hills School District is September 5.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

"Emergency Closings: If no days are used, schools will be closed 5/23, 5/24, 5/28. If one day is used, school will be closed 5/24 and 5/28. If two days are used, school will only be closed 5/24. If three or four days are used, the calendar stands as printed. Special Note 1: In the event that school must be closed due to emergency conditions for more than the four allocated days, the necessary number of days will be made up using 3/25 as the first make-up day; 3/26 as the second make-up day and 3/27 as the third make-up day. Any adjustments will be communicated by the Superintendent. Special Note 2: As new NYS testing requirements are announced, some calendar adjustments may be necessary."
