ARMONK, NY — A disagreement over where a delivery driver could unload turned into a potentially dangerous situation at a Westchester high school.

The North Castle Police Department says that on Wednesday, around 12:30 p.m., security personnel at the Byram Hills High School became involved in a confrontation with a delivery person.

Police say that the delivery person had parked her vehicle in an unauthorized area, and when she was asked to move her vehicle to the proper location for deliveries, she became belligerent and abruptly drove off.

The woman failed to comply with additional directions of other security personnel, and almost struck security officers with her vehicle, according to police.

A North Castle School Resource Officer arrived on the scene, stopped the vehicle and attempted to calm the woman down and de-escalate the situation. However, police say that the woman became "increasingly belligerent, confrontational and eventually combative."
