Chappaqua Ranks High Among Best Places In NY To Buy A House
The hamlet rates near the top in the just released study from Niche, based on taxes, home values, real estate trends and other factors.
CHAPPAQUA, NY — Seven Hudson Valley communities made Niche.com's 2022 list of the Best Places to Buy a House in New York.
Towns in Westchester, Rockland and Dutchess counties made the cut, with Chappaqua topping the list in the fourth spot.
The Best Places to Buy a House rankings from Niche takes into account key factors of a location’s housing market, including home values, taxes, crime rates, and quality of local schools.

The survey cited Chappaqua's sparse suburban feel and the fact most residents own their homes as key factors in the hamlet's high ranking. The study also noted there are a lot of coffee shops and parks in town and the public schools in Chappaqua are highly rated.

Country Knolls was named the best place in New York to buy a house. Clarance Center and West Sand Lake, rounded out the top three spots, just edging out Chappaqua in the honorable mention category.
