They will be available throughout the District at the security stations for your use with a limit of one (1) test box per member of the household. Antigen tests may be picked up when we reopen on January 3, 2024. I would like to take an opportunity to reaffirm our COVID-19 procedures as we prepare to return from the Holiday Break. CCSD Students & Staff Who Tested Positive for COVID-19 During Break

  • Parents must notify the building principal and school nurse, in writing, if their child tested positive for COVID-19 (the nurses will respond to emails on Wednesday 1/3/24). Students/staff who are positive for COVID-19 are not permitted to attend school on days 1-5 of isolation.
  • Students/staff who are COVID-19 positive will be permitted to access remote instruction via zoom during the 5-day isolation period (elementary and secondary access procedures differ-instructions will be provided by the school nurse/principal).
  • Students/staff will be cleared to return to school through our attestation process. The student attestation form can be accessed here. The staff attestation form can be accessed here.
  • CCSD athletes must also complete the Athletics Attestation Form to be cleared to return to play.

Mask Flexibility for Those Who Test Positive for COVID-19

With two negative tests 48 hours apart, people may remove their masks sooner than day 10. You may share these results with us here. The first day a person may begin the test out process is day 6.

CCSD Student/Staff Who Have COVID-19 Symptoms & Are Sent Home From School

Symptomatic individuals will need to report one negative antigen test result on the CCSD’s Antigen Test Reporting System, or one lab-certified negative test result for COVID-19, or medical clearance before returning to school.

School Notification Procedures

The District will send a school notification should we have 15 or more reported cases in a five-day period (Monday-Friday) while school is in session.

As always, thank you for your support and understanding. We look forward to seeing our students in the new year.

Sincerely,Christine Ackerman, PhD Superintendent of Schools
