Kenneth Stevens Recognized by Polly Cooper, NSDAR with the Hannah Arnett White Medal
Local Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recognize SAR member Ken Stevens for assistance to DAR in furthering its mission

On Sept. 9, 2025, the Polly Cooper Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) had the privilege of awarding the Hannah Arnett White Bronze Medal Award to the Sons of the American Revolution Westchester-Putnam Chapter President and Registrar, Kenneth Stevens.
The Hannah White Arnett Medal is one of the DAR’s newest recognitions awarded to a member in good standing of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) or Sons of the Revolution (S.R.) for unselfish devotion, tireless efforts, and assistance to the DAR; and who has dedicated his time, energy, talents, and/or resources to the organization in support and furtherance of the DAR mission of historic preservation, education and patriotism.
Mr. Stevens has fulfilled the requirements for this award, being an active SAR member since 1987 and serving in many roles on both a chapter and state level within the SAR Empire State Society.

He often engages with NY DAR District IX chapters to promote shared missions of historic preservation, education, and patriotism between the two lineage societies. He has also participated in numerous DAR and Children of the American Revolution chapters on a state level.
The Polly Cooper, NSDAR Chapter Chair of DAR/SAR/SR relations stated, "I have had the pleasure of working alongside Ken at numerous events where his dedication to our mission of historic preservation, education, and patriotism has been evident. This includes a Patriot Marker unveiling at Buxton Cemetery with the Pound Ridge Scouts, where Ken had done a tremendous amount of research to quantify and qualify the services of the patriots buried there, which enabled the scouts to have the Pomeroy marker placed. We have also represented lineage societies together at the Croton Point Revolutionary Westchester 250! An event where Ken not only represented the SAR but also volunteered to dress up in colonial garb to help out the re-enactors who were short a re-enactor to fit the uniform!"
Mr. Stevens has worked with the Polly Cooper Chapter and several chapters in District IX on proving patriots and assisting with research to fill in gaps of lineage documentation.
Mr. Steven's SAR resume is impressive and a testament to his dedication and service to the SAR. On a State Level, he is currently serving the Empire State Society SAR as Chairman, and he currently holds two SAR Westchester-Putnam Chapter positions- both Chapter President and Chapter Registrar.
Before that, he served in numerous state society positions and various chapter officer roles.
