CHAPPAQUA, NY — A great deal on a new home in a desirable location could be in the cards for those who qualify and have a little bit of good luck on their side.
Westchester Residential Opportunities announced that there are two new chances for fair and affordable homeownership in Chappaqua and applications are now being accepted.
Two three-bedroom, two-bathroom condominiums are available for sale by lottery at 300 King Street, a newly renovated building. The first floor unit is 1,940 square feet and is wheelchair-accessible, with a dedicated accessible parking space. The second floor unit is 1,760 square feet with a front porch. The units are located close to the Metro-North train station and the Saw Mill River Parkway.

The estimated affordable sale price of each condo will be $225,000.
Estimated monthly property taxes will be $490, while estimated monthly common charges will be $600.

The occupancy for each condo is three to seven people. It is required that the home be the purchaser's principal place of residence.
Each condo is available to those with a household income below 80 percent of the average monthly income in the region. In order to qualify, the household sizes and maximum incomes are as follows:
- three-person household, maximum income of $112,500
- four-person household, maximum income of $124,950
- five-person household, maximum income of $134,950
- six-person household, maximum income of $144,950
- seven-person household, maximum income of $154,950
The homes are zoned to the Chappaqua Central School District.
The application can be found here. The submission deadline is January 10, 2025 at 4 p.m. Any applications received after the deadline will be waitlisted. The lottery will take place on January 27, 2025 at 11 a.m.
