Splash Gets Final Site Plan Approval, with Conditions
Discussion of plans to move the business from its current Bedford Hills location—which will house a new car wash come spring—to the former Carvel site across the street began more than a year and a half ago.
The Bedford Planning Board approved Tuesday night the final site plan for Splash Car Wash, which is based in Bedford Hills and is moving down the block to 570 North Bedford Road.
Members of the panel have been discussing the matter for more than a year and a half. In that time neighbors have spoken out against it, variances have been granted and opening plans for a new car wash to take over the 527 North Bedford Road space have been solidified. A lawsuit regarding the proposal was filed late last month.
Conditions touch on everything from a "No standing, loading or unloading" sign on Valerio Court to landscaping to plans for a free-standing sign outside the facility.
