CHELSEA, NY — Joakim Noah has yet to play a game for his new team, but he's already set to live the high life in New York City.

Noah, 31, signed a four-year, $72 million contract with the Knicks on July 1, so he's got plenty of cash to spend. And he decided to plop it down on a $5.8 million penthouse at 555 W. 23rd St., according to the New York Post.

The three-bedroom, 3 1/2-bathroom apartment is 2,297 square feet with a 2,000-square-foot terrace, according to the Post.

He's also just a short cab ride from Madison Square Garden.

Noah joined his former Bulls teammate Derrick Rose in New York this offseason after the oft-injured point guard was traded to the Knicks. The two have a close relationship, with Rose publicly lobbying Noah to join him in Manhattan.

Noah has made $70 million in his first nine years in the league out of Florida. He's only played for Chicago. He scored just 4.3 points and had 8.8 rebounds per game in an injury-plagued 2015-16 season, but has career averages of 9.3 points and 9.4 rebounds per game.
