  1. A 12-year-old boy was killed in a shooting Thursday night in East Flatbush, at the intersection of East 58th Street and Linden Boulevard. The shooting also left a 20-year-old woman injured. Mayor Adams joined police officials at the scene. (New York City Patch)

An East Flatbush woman, Rosemarie, says that her landlord has been harassing her by tampering with personal belongings and threatening to turn off her utilities, ever since she recently reported flooding in her building. Across the city, there are multiple cases of eviction and tenant harassment that some believe may be connected to raising the pandemic-induced eviction moratorium. (The Indypendent)
  3. New York City officials are urging caution and indoor mask wearing due to a recent uptick in cases over the past week caused largely by the more infectious COVID Omicron sub-variant known as B.A.2. They plan on distributing millions of at-home COVID tests, and will not lift a mask mandate for children under five years old. (New York City Patch)
