Members of the community have raised more than $22,000 for the family of Rohan Levy.

FLATBUSH, NY — More than $22,000 has been raised for the family of Rohan Levy, the 15-year-old boy who was killed last week in a shooting in East Flatbush.
Levy was gunned down Monday, Feb. 20, after he stepped outside of his home at 92 East 55th St. The suspect, who also wounded an 18-year-old boy, jumped into a tan four-door sedan and sped away. He is still at large.
“How can you live with yourself?” Jennifer Smith, Levy's grandmother, said of the shooter at a remembrance outside the home Sunday, according to the New York Daily News. “How can you go to sleep at night while you walk around taking the lives of innocent children?”

Levy was a "perfect" child who wanted to be an architect, his mom said. He was going to begin an architecture internship at Williamsburg High School for Architecture and Design and had plans to go to college.
“You shouldn’t be unsafe in your own neighborhood,” his mom said. “It shouldn’t be like this. It shouldn’t be like this for any of the kids that are here. They shouldn’t be afraid to be here.”
A Home Going Service is scheduled for Friday, March 3, at Grace Church of God. His burial is scheduled for Saturday, March 4 and the church.
