5 Things: Music, Light in Winter and a Greenmarket

Fort Greene and Clinton Hill-area information and events you won't want to miss.

1. Check out some live music. Walt McClements' Lonesome Leash will perform at Sycamore this Friday at 10 p.m. Having just released his debut album, “I Am No Captain,” McClements "channels his many musical projects into a lean, mean and gorgeously messy ... affair."

2. Venture outside. This Sunday, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden invites visitors to participate in a host of daytime activities for all ages as part of its Light in Winter series. A bird walk, guided tour, winter yoga, discovery workshop and garden shop tasting are all on the docket this weekend.

3. Load up on healthy goodies. Head to the Cortelyou Greenmarket this weekend to make good on your New Year's resolution to eat healthy. Starting at 8 a.m., load up on a range of products, including fruits and vegetables, cheese, eggs, turkey, mushrooms, bread and fish.

4. Find out if your train is running. There are some planned services changes to local lines; Coney Island-bound Q trains run express between Prospect Park and Sheepshead Bay between 9:45 a.m. and 3 p.m. every Wed-Fri. until Feb. Also, Manhattan-bound Q trains will run through the tunnel to Manhattan between midnight and 5 a.m. all week, according to the MTA
