- Mayor Adams took an upbeat tone on Tuesday when he presented his final city budget proposal at Flatbush's historic Kings Theater. The Mayor's nearly $100 billion budget, one of the largest in NYC history, increases funding to the police department, as well as to increasing beds in the city's shelter system. - Barrio Solar, a local nonprofit initiative, is providing free and low-cost solar panels to low-income families across Brooklyn. They'll even provide you with the funds to set it up. (Brooklyn Reader)
- Members of East New York's 'Bamalife' gang were charged on multiple accounts of wreaking havoc in their own and neighboring communities. Recent altercations they've committed include allegedly opening fire and terrorizing guests at a 6-year-old's birthday party, and a mass-shooting in Bed-Stuy that injured eight people.
