- Enforcement began Monday for Mayor Eric Adams' plans to crack down on Subway crime with increased police presence and beefed up enforcement of existing rules. Some Brooklyn residents expressed hope in the plan, while others were skeptical that more policing is the right answer. Over the weekend, a man from Flatbush allegedly swung a hatchet at another man on the platform of the Franklin Avenue C station. (News 12 Bronx)
- You may have seen headlines about a high-profile tenant's rights story in Crown Heights. The Brownstone in question is owned by a multi-generational family, the Robinsons, who have owned it since the 1950s – but who allegedly were tricked into 'refinancing' it in 2015 – and have been under threat of eviction ever since.
