  1. Mayor Adams called on New York State to give the city control over its traffic cameras, stating that they have been proven to lead to a reduction in accidents, at a rally in Flatbush yesterday. He was joined by Councilwoman Rita Joseph. Adams also spoke about gun violence, appearing to connect the two issues (traffic and violent crime). (Politics NY)
  2. A man from East Flatbush was convicted for attempted sex trafficking of a 16-year old girl back in 2019. He now faces eight years of jail time. (New York City Patch)
  3. A man, Kyle Lewis, 25, has died after being shot last weekend in East Flatbush on E. 92nd Street near Ditmas Avenue. It's still unclear at this time what led to the incident, which appears to be the result of an escalated argument. (New York Daily News)
