FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — Keon Richmond, 34, was taken into custody on Wednesday afternoon in connection to the execution-style murder of Alastasia Bryan, a young, off-duty corrections officer from Bed-Stuy who was fatally shot in her car on Sunday, Dec. 4, according to multiple local news reports citing "police sources."
Cops found Richmond hiding in a closet in his Flatbush home on East 58th Street and arrested him around 1 p.m., Pix11, NBC and DNAinfo all reported.

Police had been searching for Richmond in connection with allegedly setting an ex-girlfriend's car on fire a couple months ago in the East New York area.
Richmond also has charges pending against him in two different cases in Queens, public records show: The first related to an apparent identity-theft scheme, and the second a home invasion that DNAinfo reports also targeted an ex-girlfriend.

Bryan, a 25-year-old employee of the Department of Corrections, was found dead in her car near East 73rd Street and Avenue L in the Bergen Beach neighborhood of Brooklyn on Dec. 4. She had gunshot wounds in her head and torso, according to the NYPD. Whoever shot her had apparently fired five times from outside the driver's side window, police said.
Detectives told the New York Daily News that they suspected Richmond might have hired a contract killer. Sources also told the Daily News that Richmond has 31 prior arrests, two of which were domestic disputes involving Bryan.
Hundreds of mourners attended Bryan's funeral at the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Bed-Stuy on Tuesday morning. A GoFundMe was started by a co-worker of Bryan's mother to support her financially.
