1. A recent discussion at Kings Theater during Black Maternal Health Week focused on creating solutions to the disproportionate amount of deaths and birth complications experienced by Black women. According to the Centers for Disease Control, two out of three of maternal-related deaths among Black women are preventable. (Brooklyn Reader)
2. Prices are 'skyrocketing' for kosher food during Passover in many of New York City's Jewish communities, partially due to inflation.
