CB14 Elects Members-at-Large at Monday Meeting

Mohammed Razvi was ousted, while Florence Valentino maintained her seat.

 

Members of Community Board 14 saw a shake-up in leadership Monday after they cast their votes for two members-at-large positions during the board's monthly meeting.

Morris Sacks was elected to the board, besting incumbent Mohammed Razvi, and incumbent Florence Valentino will keep her seat in favor of candidate Sarina Roffe.

"It's unfortunate someone had to leave, but that's no reflection on what they had done," said Third Vice-Chair Gail Smith. 

Smith, along with Chairman Alvin Berk, First Vice-Chair Edward Powell, Second Vice-Chair Carmen Cerio-Belle and Secretary Joseph Dweck will retain their positions on the board.
