- Former Governor Andrew Cuomo made a public appearance at the East Flatbush God’s Battalion of Prayer church on Sunday, blaming "cancel culture" for his fall from grace last spring and summer, when he was accused by over half a dozen women of sexual misconduct. The Rev. Alfred Cockfield II, who had been appointed by Cuomo to the board of the Long Island Power Authority, described him as a "friend." (amNY)
- Two people are expected to recover after being shot in the foot and leg at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday morning in Marine Park. Police are still investigating what led to the incident. (News 12)
- The parents of 18-year-old Jalil Stewart, who was fatally shot nearby Kings Mall last year, are filing a lawsuit against the mall and its security guard for not intervening when a fight broke out, alleging they could have prevented their son's death. Stewart was interested in architecture and music, and was about to graduate from James Madison High School. (New York Daily News)
