1. A 64-year-old woman was hit by a car at a Ditmas Park intersection (17th Street and Foster Avenue.) She was brought to Kings Hospital, where she died shortly after. (Ditmas Park-Flatbush Patch)
2. In honor of Black history month, the Daily News takes a look at Brooklyn's Haitian community in Flatbush, reflecting on their challenges and successes over the past years. Most recently, the Newkirk Avenue subway station was renamed as "Little Haiti." (New York Daily News)
