1. This East Flatbush couple had no idea what was in store for them when they bought their two-story home, renting out the top floor to another family. That family allegedly didn't pay rent throughout the entire pandemic due to the eviction moratorium, assaulted the owners, and are now accused of animal abuse in a pending court case. (The Real Deal)
2. A nonprofit, the New York Restoration Project, plans to give out over 2,000 native trees across the city. Flatbush residents can pick one up if they're interested at Flatbush Library on May 14. (Brooklyn Reader)
3. Councilwoman Rita Joseph went on a tour of Flatbush's public transit Monday, emphasizing to a colleague the need for more disability-accessible subway stations and a Flatbush Avenue busway. (Twitter)
