- East Flatbush residents are demanding that the city put a stoplight at the intersection of East 49th Street and Lenox Road, the lack of which they say has resulted in property damage and many injuries over many decades. "It's getting worse and worse every living day," said Gail Dixon, the local block association president, who says she herself has hit by cars at the intersection twice. (News 12)
- Long Island Congressman Lee Zeldin, a Republican running for New York Governor, announced NYPD Deputy Inspector Alison Esposito as his lieutenant governor running mate. Esposito currently serves as the head of Flatbush's 70th police precinct. She says she's running to overturn progressive policies including bail reform. (Politics NY)
- Flatbush and Ditmas Park Congresswoman Yvette Clarke wrote a letter asking New York to invest in electric vehicle infrastructure for Brooklyn communities, which she says have been largely left out of the development of green technology. (Brooklyn Reader)
