East Flatbush Car Crash Leaves 2 In Critical Condition, NYPD Says

A driver and passenger were critically injured after crashing into a light pole on Kings Highway near Tilden Avenue.

EAST FLATBUSH, NY — Two people were critically injured early Monday morning in a one-car collision on Kings Highway in East Flatbush, an NYPD spokesman said.

A vehicle crashed into a light pole on Kings Highway near Tilden Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Monday, trapping two people inside, an NYPD spokesman said. After a fire was extinguished, police and fire personal worked to evacuate the vehicle, the spokesman said.

Two men were rushed to Kings County Hospital where they remain in critical condition, an NYPD spokesman said. The men were seated in the drivers seat and the front passenger seat of the vehicle.

Police will investigate the cause of the crash, an NYPD spokesman said.
