E. 17th Street Fire Sends One to Hospital

Blaze reported on Friday evening at residential building.

A fire at a four-story residence on E. 17th Street in Ditmas Park sent one person to the hospital with minor injuries Friday night, according to the New York Fire Department. 

Fire officials said the blaze began at 9:11 p.m. on the second floor of 358 E. 17th St., a four-story brick apartment building with a bodega on the ground floor at the corner of Cortelyou Road.

60 firefighters from 12 units helped put out the fire at 9:29 p.m.

According to FDNY, one victim was transported to Kings County Hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
