- Work on a new feature film "Flatbush" is underway. The film, which is being worked on by a team of local actors, seeks to build a bridge between the community's struggles in the 90s with gun violence and racism, with the similar struggles of today. They are seeking community members, especially speakers of Haitian Creole, to take part as actors. (News 12 Bronx)
- Police are investigating an attack on a visibly Jewish teenager in Flatbush Friday evening. In response to the incident, Mayor Eric Adams tweeted, "an attack on our Jewish community is an attack on every New Yorker. We will catch the perpetrators of this assault." (The Jerusalem Post)
- A teenager was struck and killed while crossing the street at Avenue K and Flatbush. CM Rita Joseph, who has made traffic safety a priority, said, "The young man’s father is a good friend of mine who also owned a business in the district. Traffic violence breaks my heart every time I see it, but it’s even worse when it’s a young person you have a connection to💔. Stay safe out there everyone." (Twitter)
- Permits were filed to build a seven-story residential building at 2184 Clarendon Road in Flatbush, near the Beverly Road subway station. (New York YIMBY)
