- All residents of Rita Joseph's Flatbush council district can vote on which two to three community projects they believe deserve up to $1 million in funding, through NYC's participatory budgeting program. Vote before Sunday for projects ranging from planting new trees to repaving the parade grounds. (Participate.nyc.gov)
- Two Flatbush men were robbed of $200,000 at gunpoint when four men entered their apartment demanding they open a safe containing their savings. Anyone with information is the encouraged to contact the NYPD. (New York City Patch)
- The results of a new city-wide survey reveal that a majority of Brooklynites value building more affordable housing as the best solution to homelessness, and would like to see mental health and medical professionals respond to some 911 calls, rather than only police. (Brooklyn Paper)
