Flatbush Police Shooting: Man Carrying BB Gun Wounded, NYPD Says
The victim was in critical condition.
FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — An NYPD officer shot and wounded a man in Flatbush on Thursday night who was carrying a BB gun and fleeing an arrest attempt, police said.
Officers were responding to a 9-1-1 call of a man with a gun inside of a bodega on Church Avenue and East 34th Street around 10:06 p.m., police said.
The officers tried to arrest the man but he fled north on 34th Street, according to police, and was seen carrying a gun.

One of the officers fired a single round, which hit the man in the leg, and he was arrested, police said. The man was taken to Kings County Hospital in critical condition.
