Jumaane Williams Talks Benefits of Bolstering NYPD

Councilman Jumaane Williams, D-45, is a big fan of the NYPD and an advocate of increasing the Force's numbers, but you wouldn't know it by following the media, he said. 

At the 70th Precinct Community Council meeting Wednesday, Williams said he supports good policing, but media outlets choose to not focus on that aspect of his relationship with Department. 

"I am a fan of getting more police officers, I want us to fund our Police Department so we can increase the police officers on the streets," he said. "I'm glad that we have an increase in officers here. The 70th Precinct is a great precinct."
