In a TV interview, the mothers of 12-year-old Kade Lewin and his cousin shared the difficulties they and their families have been facing in processing the events of last week, when Lewin was shot dead by a stray bullet. The two mothers were actually at a nearby hair salon at the time of the altercation, and came running to the scene only minutes later. (NBC New York)
2. Meet Flatbush resident Monique Glover, who quit her corporate job and founded ZyemKids, a children's clothing line where "art meets fashion." Her signatures are oversized clothing with "unique cuts." (Brooklyn Reader)
3. A 72-year-old man was slashed in the face at Beverly Road and East 16th Street on Tuesday morning. The attack was unprovoked, according to authorities. (New York Post )
4. A man dressed as a UPS delivery worker held up a pregnant woman at gunpoint at the door to her apartment on East 18th Street in Flatbush on Tuesday afternoon, robbing her of cash and jewelry. Nobody was hurt during the incident. (NBC New York)
