- Flatbush's Little Caribbean will be featured as part of the Historic District Council's "six to celebrate" campaign, which highlights communities that could be eligible for historic preservation. Little Caribbean made the list thanks in part to activists Kennya Cummings and Shelley Worrell of the local organization CaribBEING. (Brooklyn Paper)
- More than two dozen so-called 'affordable' apartments are available for a housing lottery in a Lenox Road apartment building in Flatbush — but only for residents who make a minimum of $64,000 per year. That figure is calculated as being 130% of the greater New York City area's 'median income.' (Patch)
- A 20-year-old man was found dead from stab wounds on Hawthorne Street, not far from Prospect Park (Prospect-Leffert Gardens) Wednesday at 12:30 p.m., according to police. A suspect is now in custody. (amNY)
