Man Shot In Leg In Flatbush Over The Weekend

Police are searching for the shooter.

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — Authorities are searching for a man who they say shot another man in the leg in Flatbush over the weekend before fleeing the scene.

On Friday night, the victim, a 30-year-old man, got into a "verbal dispute" with another man at 1844 Nostrand Ave., between Newkirk Avenue and Avenue D, police said.

The man followed the victim to East 31st Street and Avenue D, police said. The man pulled out a gun and shot the victim "multiple times" in the left leg, the cops said.

The man fled and was not captured. The victim was taken to Kings County hospital and is expected to be OK.

The suspect was identified as a black male, approximately 25-30 years old with a slender build, brown eyes and close cut hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and eye glasses. He is pictured above.
