Video Shows Brooklyn Teen Brutally Beating MTA Bus Driver

Thutmose Scott-Clark, 18, reportedly turned himself in Tuesday after the NYPD released the disturbing video to the media.

EAST FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — A young Brooklyn man reportedly turned himself in Tuesday after he was caught on camera violently attacking an MTA bus driver in East Flatbush late last month.

Thutmose Scott-Clark, 18, from the 500 block of East 21st Street in Flatbush, turned himself over to police alongside his mother and pastor, CBS New York reported.

The teen’s family has claimed he suffers from mental illness and autism, which may have prompted the attack.

The assault took place around 6:15 p.m. Jan. 29 on a bus at the corner of Nostrand Avenue and Avenue D, police said.

Scott-Clark’s mother told CBS that she asked the bus driver to let them off the bus, explaining that her son had mental illness issues. But the driver “refused to let us off the bus,” she said — thus angering the young man and causing his outburst.

The driver, on the other hand, has claimed the attack was unprovoked and that there had been no quarrel beforehand.

Assaulting an MTA employee can result in up to seven years of jail time, according to the MTA.
