- A 16-year police officer, David Grieco, has cost the city over $1 million in legal settlements, over multiple cases alleging his misappropriate behavior while on the job. Grieco is currently a field intelligence officer in East Flatbush. (New York Daily News)
- The developer of a building a few blocks away from Brooklyn College, at 1620 New York Avenue, Joel Jacob, has received $23 million in loan financing for the apartment complex. Renderings are available of the new building. (Commercial Observer)
- Hundreds of SUNY and CUNY students marched across the Brooklyn Bridge on Sunday, demanding greater funding for New York City and state's public colleges and universities to be included in next year's fiscal budget. The state's budget negotiations are expected to conclude fairly soon, in about three weeks. (amNY)
