NYC Bike Share Program Now Accepting Sign-ups

The CitiBike system will begin in May.

 

Enrollment in the city's new bike share program is now open and accepting membership applications.

Although there won't be any bike stations in Ditmas Park in CitiBike's first phase, therent-a-bike kiosks are already being installed in Manhattan as well as Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, Bed-Stuy and Downtown Brooklyn

The program is set to begin mid-May. 

Annual membership will cost cyclists $95, while those who opt for a seven-day pass will pay $25. Looking for a quick-fix? A 24-hour pass will run $9.95. Prices do not include tax and overtime fees apply.

NYCHA residents, age 16 and older, as well as members of Community Development Credit Unions are eligible for a $60 annual membership, provided they enter a discount code.
