1. In her annual State of the District address, Flatbush Assemblywoman Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn spoke in support of increasing the number of security cameras in the subway system, and said she would increase discretionary funding to women and minority-owned businesses to $1 million. 2. Two men were killed in separate shootings in Crown Heights and East Flatbush on Thursday night. The East Flatbush incident took place outside of an apartment building on Willmohr Street at around 7 p.m., when Gary Delima, 31, was shot dead, according to police. (New York Post )
3. Meet Caribbean-American Justice Kathy King, who was recently appointed to a vacant seat on the New York County (Manhattan) Supreme Court, although she's from Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. (Caribbean Life)
