NYC Subway Service Disrupted Because Of Downed Trees, 'Hanging Wires'
Downed trees have caused issues at at least two subway stations, affecting service across the city.

The Cortelyou Road subway stop in Ditmas Park is almost completely shut down right now after a tree fell on the tracks, according to the MTA
Here's where things stand at about noon on Thursday afternoon:

- There is no B train service between West 4th Street.-Washington Square and Brighton Beach in both directions.
- B trains are operating between 145th Street and West 4th Street-Washington Square then via the F line to 2nd Avenue.
- There is no southbound Q service from DeKalb Avenue to Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue.
- Southbound Q trains are running on the N line from DeKalb Avenue to Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue.
Workers at the station are removing debris from the tracks, the MTA said.
After "low hanging branches" caused disruptions at the 9th Avenue stop in Sunset Park, D train service there has resumed with delays.

And due to hanging wires at Kingsbridge Rd, 4 trains were running with delays in both directions.
These service disruptions caused delays on those lines throughout the city, and the MTA urged riders to allow for additional travel time.
In a response to one customer on Twitter, the MTA said the incident at Cortelyou Road was "ongoing." "Other branches fell earlier. This time its a very large one and many."

In addition to the downed trees, signal problems on the Manhattan Bridge, caused delays for northbound D trains.
Following an earlier incident at Canal Street, 1 train service has resumed with delays.
Due to an investigation at 149th Street-Grand Concourse, southbound 5 trains are running on the 2 line from 149th Street-Grand Concourse to Nevins St.
