1. A fire broke out in a Prospect-Lefferts Garden apartment building on Flatbush Avenue on Saturday afternoon, with videos showing flames coming out of windows. There's no word on how the fire started or if any injuries have been reported. (CBS New York)
2. Another fire in a house on Albany Avenue in East Flatbush sent two fire fighters to Kings Hospital on Saturday, after starting at around 12 p.m. (News 12 Brooklyn)
3. State Senator Zellnor Myrie announced on Friday new funding that will connect college students in New York with environmentally-friendly career development and job training opportunities. The proposal will be included in the state's budget, he announced. This summer, students will head to the Adirondacks mountains in Upstate New York. (Brooklyn Reader)
