ICYMI: WATCH: Man Beaten, Robbed After Offering To Pay For Food At Texas Chicken And Burgers

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — A man who offered to pay for somebody else's food at Texas Chicken and Burgers in Flatbush was beaten to the point of broken bones and had property stolen from him, the NYPD said.
Two men were inside the chicken and burger joint — located at Church and Ocean avenues, along the border of the Ditmas Park and Flatbush neighborhoods — when the 37-year-old "offered to help pay for their meal," police said. The two men "engaged in a verbal dispute" when two other men ran into the restaurant, cops said.
The group attacked the man, beating him with their fists and with his cane while he tried unsuccessfully to defend himself, police said.

UPDATE: Man Arrested In Texas Chicken And Burgers Gang Assault
After the four men fled, another man came into the restaurant and took some of his property, police said.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for broken bones, contusions and lacerations.
